Mysore, what can I say about this hometown of mine that has not been said by poets, philosophers and artists aplenty. Just that it is all that they say and more. A city with a heart ; a city with that genial Kannada charm that Bangalore has lost ; a city that, in parts, is still that typical small sleepy Karnataka town ; a city where everyone seems to know everyone and lives are intertwined ; a city with a rich cultural and literary heritage ; a city with beautiful palaces ; a city of Mysore masale dose, Mysorepak and churumuri.

A city like none other.

A city that’s my very own.

This post makes me so nostalgic about Mysore. I am a native of Mysore and it brings to mind so many memories of the place. Gulmohar has captured the spirit of Mysore wonderfully in this well written succinct piece.
